Cory Gunz – The Best Kept Secret (2008)

This young son of Peter Gunz has been doing his thing for a little while now, and is getting some mainstream rap recognition finally.

IMO: Cory, or Corey? Make your mind up. Cory’s father Peter is another celebrity from the rap hall of fame, who used to run alongside Lord Tariq. Cory is clever with the words, and his rhyming skill is definitely worth listening to. There were rumours circulating around his participation in the A Milli beat. He was on an official remix, but was taken off in the final cut. People say it’s because his verse was far more spectacular than Lil Wayne’s, and if you hear it, you may agree. Swagga Like Us – The Remixes (2008)

IMO: The instrumental itself is superb. Go look up M.I.A., then go look up who she sampled. In fact, the beat may have even stolen the limelight from all the A-listers’ verses. Although it is fair to say that Twista completely annihilates the track. There’s so many versions out there at the moment, it’s hard to keep up. The original is obviously denoted by the pic.
